Note: This Questionnaire is for Civil Service and Foreign Service Direct-Hire Employees only.

(NOTE: This questionnaire cannot be saved midway. The last two questions request your bio and personal story, which you might wish to prepare separately and then paste into this form. If you do not complete these two sections, we cannot add you to the Volunteer Recruiter Corps database.)

Would you like to inspire others to join the State Department? The Volunteer Recruiter Corps serves to harness the talent and diversity of personnel across the State Department to augment the Bureau of Global Talent Management’s recruitment efforts.

The top strategic priority of the Recruitment Office within GTM’s Talent Acquisition Managing Directorate (GTM/TAC) is to recruit new talent that reflects the diverse composition of the United States. The Recruitment Division is also focused on identifying diverse talent for Foreign Service Specialist tracks with critical vacancies. In addition, our recruiters provide general information on Civil Service careers, fellowships, and internships at the State Department.

We welcome participation from a wide range of Foreign Service and Civil Service colleagues, particularly at the entry- and mid-levels to support the Department’s recruitment goals. We will call on volunteers to speak firsthand about their work experiences and share their personal stories with prospective recruits. Your current location is not a barrier to participation.

Your responses in this questionnaire will help us identify you for participation in suitable opportunities, such as joining a recruiter for a career fair, serving as an info session panelist, participating in a recruitment social media campaign, or corresponding with a prospective candidate. Please note that we will call on volunteers on an as needed basis; due to the high level of interest, it is possible that not all volunteers will be contacted. You will have a chance to accept, or decline offers to participate in specific activities based on your availability. Questions with an asterisk (*) indicates a required response.

For additional questions, please contact the Volunteer Recruiter Coordinator (VolRecruiter@state.gov).
